BALTIMORE (September 27, 2007) Chesapeake Real Estate Group, LLC has announced that Jon Manekin will join the Company as a member of the leasing and development team. Manekin, formerly with GVA/Advantis, was a tenant-representative broker in the Washington, DC market. Mr. Manekin will be providing both leasing and development services for the company and will be focused on helping Chesapeake lease its newly acquired Bagby Building, in downtown Baltimore.
Chesapeake has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2005 by Doug Schmidt and Jim Lighthizer. Along with numerous office, retail and industrial projects and its recently acquired Bagby Building, the company's most notable project is the 9-building, 1.5-million-square-foot industrial park at Baltimore Crossroads @95 in White Marsh.
